Triclosan has been researched and developed by Ciba Geigy and used extensively overseas as a hygiene disinfectant.

It has been used in Australia as a hand disinfectant for the past five years. Its characteristics include:

• A broad spectrum anti-microbial activity effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria;
• substantivity to skin hence prolonged effect between washes; and
• reduces odour caused by bacterial action.

Active Constituents:
0.05% Triclosan
